Expressive Mono Printing: Painterly Patterns on Clay

This is a hands on workshop. Participants will learn how to create surface design in reverse on paper and then transfer these “hidden images” onto clay through a mono printing technique. We will incorporate the use of simple tarpaper templates to create hand built forms for the clay canvases. These 3D forms, after firing, will be suitable to hang on the wall as a one of a kind piece of ceramic art. 

Students will create their clay piece that will be later fired and returned to them; either picked up at Well Made Dahlonega or sent to them through the post for an additional fee.
